YULS FOUNDATION FOR FOSTER YOUTH
It’s with great understanding that children receive an education that prepares them to move forward as outstanding citizens, but at times, it’s not that easy.
With direction from our mentors, young people will be able to offering valuable mentoring opportunities, including internships, trade schools, or business ownership.
Because our public schools do not teach financial wellness, our mentors will focus on educating our youth about budgeting, financial planning and investing.
For those with the entrepreneurial mind, our mentors will help our youth create a business plan and in some cases lend their support through a monetary investment.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL WELLNESS MENTORING
Transitioning is part of the foster care system, as our youth struggle with their emotional and physical well being.
Our wellness mentors have education and training in both, the mental health and nutritional fields, and they are ready to offer emotional and physical support when needed.
